Job DescriptionAssociate Attorney - Litigation
Location: Irvine, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 remote)
Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $145,000 - $165,000 (commensurate with experience and education)
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Associate to join its Irvine office. This position is ideal for an attorney with experience in insurance defense, municipal/public entity law, or commercial litigation. However, candidates with substantial litigation experience in other practice areas will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all phases of civil litigation, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.

Draft and argue dispositive motions with clarity and strategic insight.

Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and hearings.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues across offices, leveraging remote mentoring and guidance.

Maintain strong client relationships while delivering high-quality legal services.
Required Skills & Abilities

Proven ability to manage civil litigation cases independently and efficiently.

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Confident oral advocacy and communication skills.

Self-starter with a solid work ethic and strong organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Open to remote supervision and mentorship.
Education & Experience Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.M. from an accredited U.S. law school.

Active California bar license in good standing.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex civil litigation.

Preferred experience in insurance litigation, municipal/public entity defense, or construction-related matters.

Bonus consideration given to candidates with strong academic credentials, judicial clerkships, or law review experience.
