Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based educational program is seeking a Substitute CPI Paraprofessional to provide behavioral and instructional support to students during short-term assignments. The position involves assisting students with individualized education programs (IEPs), implementing behavior-support strategies, and maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.
Responsibilities / Duties:

Support classroom instruction and behavior management under the guidance of licensed educational staff

Implement de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques in accordance with CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training

Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to students with behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs

Monitor student engagement and document progress, incidents, or behavioral data accurately

Assist with classroom setup, transitions, and reinforcement of positive behavior plans

Maintain safety standards during all student interactions and follow district and school protocols
Qualifications / Desired Experience: -
Active CPI certification required or ability to obtain before assignment

Prior paraprofessional or instructional aide experience strongly preferred

Experience working with students with special needs or behavioral challenges in an educational setting

Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis-management skills

Dependable, flexible, and comfortable working in short-term or daily substitute assignments

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $48.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
