JOB SUMMARY:
The Overnight Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff within our retirement community. This position is responsible for general cleaning, sanitizing, and light maintenance tasks throughout common areas and facilities during overnight hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform routine cleaning of common areas, lobby, hallways, and restrooms.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed throughout the property.

Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.

Clean glass doors, windows, and other surfaces.

Sanitize high-touch areas such as door handles, and railings.

Respond to custodial service requests promptly and professionally.

Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and paper products.

Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to management.

Ensure building security by checking doors, windows, and alarms during overnight hours.

Follow all safety and infection-control procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Previous custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred—experience in residential or senior living environments a plus.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
SCHEDULE:
Full-time overnight position.
