We are a rapidly growing personal injury law firm seeking a full-time Paralegal with at least 3 years of pre-litigation PI experience. In this role, you will manage cases through treatment until they are ready for demand, write detailed demand letters, and negotiate settlements. Our ideal Paralegal will have a strong desire to help others, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve the best results for clients.

Compensation:
$60,000+ DOE plus quarterly performance bonuses
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
- Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
- Organize and manage client files from intake to settlement
- Assist with tracking medical providers and ordering records, and bills
- Review medical records and bills, and verify that all records have been obtained
- Update adjusters and clients regarding case status, and handle some new client intake calls
- Handling some new client (PNC) intake calls - backup only
- Draft personal injury demand letters
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar
- Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference
- Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
- Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
- 3 years or more of Personal Injury experience
- Ability to learn, grow, and be part of a team committed to doing a great job
- Knowledge of Needles case management software is not required, but is a plus
- Experience writing personalized demand letters is not required, but is a plus
- Negotiation experience is not required, but is a plus!
