Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Santa Rosa, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting attorneys with complex litigation tasks, from the initial stages of case preparation to trial and post-trial activities. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed memorandums using platforms like Westlaw and Lexis.
• Manage evidence collection and document production for clients, opposing parties, and attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, including the preparation of initial meet-and-confer letters.
• Review, summarize, and organize deposition transcripts and other case-related documents.
• Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, motions, and declarations with appropriate evidence and citations.
• Coordinate with IT professionals and other parties to ensure smooth document collection and management processes.
• Oversee calendaring and scheduling for litigation deadlines across state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies.
• Prepare trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, jury instructions, and pre-trial binders.
• Support attorneys during trial by coordinating witness appearances, assisting with jury selection, and handling motions in limine.
• Collaborate with experts on document exchange, report preparation, and deposition coordination.• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation processes, including discovery and trial preparation.
• Familiarity with case management software and document review platforms like Logikull.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage complex cases with multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
• Knowledge of legal billing procedures and processes is a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
