Director of Manufacturing & Facilities Engineering

Job Description

Executive Search Placement is partnering with a rapidly expanding Las Vegas manufacturer who is in search of an experienced Director of Plant Operations. This is a critical role that will oversee both production processes and facility operations - specifically leading and supporting maintenance and engineering staff, while providing strategic alignment with business goals: implementing improvement initiatives, and maintaining a safe, productive and well-maintained facility.

Compensation: 160K/Plus Comprehensive Benefits Package

The ideal candidate has a manufacturing or facilities engineering degree - brings a strong technical background, proven leadership in a fast paced, enterprise environment, and the ability to align people, processes, and equipment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Operations - Ensures all production equipment is properly maintained by executing a TPM - Total Productive Maintenance - strategy.
• Facilities Engineering - Oversees all building maintenance, utilities and safety protocol, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Project Management - Lead engineering projects, including renovations, expansion, and new facility development.
• Staff Management - Supervise and develop engineering and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Strategic Planning - working with Executive Operations Management in developing long-term plans for facility and equipment upgrades, as well as manufacturing capacity and processes.
• Continuous Improvement - Implements Lean principles, optimizing workflows, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance - Ensures adherence to industry regulations, and standards for manufacturing and facilities operations.
• Budget Management - Managing budgets for facilities maintenance, capital projects, and manufacturing operations.
• Collaboration - Works with other departments, such as engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to achieve organizational goals.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or Facilities Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years Manufacturing and Facilities Engineering Experience with solid leadership and management experience.
• Solid knowledge of engineering principles, automation, and manufacturing processes.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills with ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Advanced understanding of business processes, financial management, and strategic planning.
