As a Security Officer - Government Site - Multiple Shifts in Germantown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff at a dynamic location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in managing badge access, responding to alarm panels, and maintaining detailed records of daily activities. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the premises.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding security-related matters.
- Assist with visitor management, including signing in guests and providing directions or information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
