Job Title: Legal Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our legal team serving high-quality clients with ongoing firm relationships. The Legal Assistant will provide essential support to attorneys and contribute to the efficient operation of our law office. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and reliable. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Organize and maintain legal files and documents ensuring all documents are up to date and accessible.
- Communicate and interact with clients and other parties involved in legal matters in a professional manner, on the phone, through email, and in-person.
- Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, deadlines, and reminders.
- Plan and schedule attorney travel, including scheduling accommodations and vehicles.
- Create forms and templates for legal memorandums and letters using computer word processing programs.
- Speak daily with assigned attorneys regarding task lists, workflow, deadlines, and updates to legal matters.
- Use online resources to find information, such as websites for the Arizona Corporation Commission, the Arizona Secretary of State, and other government and private websites.
- Proofread documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
- Strong scheduling, file management, and organizational skills.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Working Conditions:
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (typical office or administrative work).
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree in paralegal studies or a related field preferred)
- 1 or more years of experience in the legal field as a legal assistant or related role OR multiple years in a professional office setting as an assistant, secretary, administrative position, or similar role.
