Job Title

IT MANAGER ***DIRECT HIRE*** (MUST ATTACH YOUR RESUME WITH EXPERIENCE INCLUDED TO BE CONSIDERED AS A CANDIDATE)

You would be working for a manufacturer of precision‑machined steel components—such as structural bosses, hardened bushings, and precision pins—primarily serving industries like heavy-duty construction, agriculture, and off‑highway OEMs.

IT MANAGER Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)

  • • IT Infrastructure & System Management
    • Oversee servers, networks (LAN/WAN), cloud services, virtualization, and manufacturing system integrations.

    • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve infrastructure issues

    • Plan capacity, drive performance optimizations, and create upgrades aligned to growth targets

    • Enterprise Systems Oversight

    • Manage and support ERP, CRM, manufacturing execution systems (MES), email, collaboration tools, VOIP/phone systems, and Active Directory environments

    • Collaborate on production system customizations, deployments, and upgrades

    • IT Support & Service Management

    • Serve as escalation point for helpdesk operations and manage your ticket queue (e.g. via KACE or similar)

    • Provide high-quality technical support and training to staff across departments

    • Project Leadership & Vendor Relations

    • Lead IT projects including system rollouts, infrastructure improvements, migrations, and disaster recovery planning.

    • Manage vendors, negotiate service agreements, and ensure SLAs are met

    • Cybersecurity & Compliance

    • Implement and oversee cybersecurity controls: firewalls, endpoint protection, backups, and disaster recovery protocols.

    • Ensure compliance with data standards, IT policies, and industry best practices

    • Asset Management & Budgeting

    • Track IT assets (procurement to retirement), optimize lifecycle costs, and support recycling/ disposal practices

    • Contribute to IT budgeting and cost optimization strategies

    • Team Supervision & Mentorship

    • Supervise, mentor, and develop support staff and system administrators.

    • Coordinate duties, review performance, and support professional development within the IT team

    • Reporting & Strategy Alignment

    • Provide performance metrics, status reports, and roadmaps to plant leadership.

    • Align IT strategy with overall company goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Day Shift, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

  • Monday - Friday

IT MANAGER Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)

  • GENERAL PRINTER/COPIER HARDWARE MAINTENANCE KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Experience with MICROSOFT OPERATING SYSTEMS TO INCLUDE DESKTOP AND SERVER SOLUTIONS

  • IBM iSeries AS400 hardware and operating system knowledge required

  • High School Diploma plus 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a customer-facing Help Desk role is required

  • Can resolve requests pertaining to on-premises and remote customer hardware and software

  • Experience managing solution delivery through a support ticket system and remote management tool

  • Experience in maintaining asset inventory, warranty service and hardware procurement

  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

  • Able to pass a background check

  • Able to work in the US
