Job DescriptionSalary: $16-$18 Hourly
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized PAS Authorizations Coordinator to support the timely and accurate processing of client authorizations. In this role, you will help ensure that clients receive approved services without interruption by managing authorization workflows, documentation, and communication with payers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and track initial, renewal, and updated authorizations for PAS clients through payer portals and internal systems.
- Monitor authorization expirations and follow up to ensure timely renewals and continuity of care.
- Verify service eligibility and authorization status with Medicaid, MCOs, and other payers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date authorization records in client charts and electronic systems.
- Collaborate with PAS Coordinators and billing teams to ensure alignment between authorizations, services delivered, and billing.
- Communicate with managed care organizations, case managers, and internal staff to resolve issues or delays in authorization processing.
- Assist with audits and reporting related to authorizations and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare authorizations, billing, or administrative support preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software systems.
- Experience with Medicaid/MCO portals or provider care systems (Vesta EVV) a plus!
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
