About the Opportunity:
A reputable Norfolk-based law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 3–6 years of litigation experience to join its growing Medical Malpractice Defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in representing healthcare institutions and professionals in complex medical malpractice claims.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of medical malpractice defense litigation

Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses

Assist in depositions and trials as second-chair counsel

Participate in case strategy discussions and collaborate directly with clients

Work closely with senior attorneys and legal support staff
Qualifications:
-
3+ years of experience in medical malpractice defense or comparable civil litigation
-
Licensed to practice law in Virginia

Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities

Prior deposition or trial experience preferred

Interest in building a long-term practice in medical malpractice defense
