As an Automotive Technician at Tim Dahle Infiniti, you will perform efficient and accurate diagnoses and repairs on most vehicle components with minimal supervision. You will follow dealership and factory standards, diagnose malfunctions, and complete repairs as outlined on repair orders. Responsibilities include communicating with the parts department to obtain necessary parts, documenting all work performed, and informing service advisors of additional work needed or if repairs cannot be completed as promised. You will road-test vehicles when required, maintain a clean and safe work environment, keep dealership tools and manuals in good condition, and stay updated on manufacturer technical bulletins and training programs. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience as a C-Class general service technician or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications in at least two of the following: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Engine Performance, Engine Repair, Heating and Air Conditioning, Manual Drive Train and Axle, or Suspension and Steering.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and basic algebra).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Valid driver’s license and state vehicle inspector certification (preferred).
- Ability to maintain a clean work area, operate tools safely, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA).
