AEITS, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Zero Trust (ZT) Data Analytic Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the development, implementation, and advisory support of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and advanced analytics initiatives across large, complex organizations.
In this position, you will support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The ideal candidate will bring deep cybersecurity expertise, strategic insight, and extensive technical leadership to support digital transformation efforts.
This position is external referral fee-for-hire eligible.
Mission: As a Subject Matter Expert supporting this government program, you will lead the advancement and implementation of cutting-edge Zero Trust Architecture and data-driven cybersecurity solutions that protect national security interests. By leveraging deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and emerging technologies such as AI, big data analytics, and cloud platforms, the Zero Trust Data Analytic SME will drive innovation, enhance cyber resilience, and support senior leaders in executing secure, scalable, and mission-critical transformations aligned with DoD and federal cybersecurity standards.
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. (Additional years of experience and cybersecurity certifications may substitute for an advanced degree.) AND 10-15 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, software development, or information technology.
- 10+ years of experience with technical project delivery for large, complex organizations
- Lead the ideation, design, and execution of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) strategies in alignment with NIST 800-207 and DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture.
- Advise senior government leaders (CISO, CIO, CTO, GO/FO/PA level) on Zero Trust implementation strategies, cybersecurity analytics, and risk management.
- Perform technical leadership in product selection, architecture development, and solution integration across A&O, AI/ML, identity/access management (ICAM), secure DevOps, SASE, CASB, ZTNA, and network access control.
- Collaborate with project and proposal teams to design high-quality implementation plans, capability maturation roadmaps, and modernization strategies.
- Design and support analytics and data platforms that drive Zero Trust decision-making and continuous diagnostics.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise compliance and security standards through expert knowledge in cybersecurity operations and engineering.
- Deliver compelling presentations, briefings, and whitepapers to senior stakeholders, effectively communicating complex, technical concepts in business terms.
- Leverage advanced cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) to deploy secure, scalable, and resilient ZT solutions.
- Guide organizational transformation toward a Zero Trust model, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and adoption.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations, preferably within the federal or defense sector.
- Deep understanding of Zero Trust principles, standards, and practices; familiarity with NIST 800-207, DoD ZT Reference Architecture, and emerging ZT technologies.
- Knowledge of networking, ICAM, SASE, ZTNA, CASB, and cloud-native security.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity compliance, operations, or engineering.
- Expertise in innovative cybersecurity capabilities, including NGFW, AI/ML, Big Data analytics, and automated security orchestration.
- Strong experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Ability to effectively brief and communicate complex technical topics to senior-level DoD officials and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Required Qualification
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. (Additional years of experience and cybersecurity certifications may substitute for an advanced degree.)

Travel
- Less than 10% of travel may occur.
