Job Description
Job DescriptionApplied Innovation is seeking an IT Administrator Tier 1 to join our internal IT team at our Corporate Office in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is responsible for providing first-line technical support to Applied Innovation employees (internal clients), ensuring an exceptional customer service experience with each interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support through calls, tickets, and walk-ins
- Listen effectively to understand the issue and determine its root cause
- Communicate solutions clearly and professionally, maintaining a positive, upbeat tone
- Resolve issues in person, via remote management tools, or through our ticketing system
- Escalate or route issues to the appropriate IT resources when necessary
- Provide timely follow-up to ensure issue resolution
- Stay current on new hardware and software technologies
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as projects demand
- Manage time effectively with guidance from leadership
Qualifications:
- Associate degree (or higher) in Networking, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and common operating systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
