Petrotech, Inc. is currently looking for Mid to Senior Level Field Engineers. This role is responsible for traveling to customer sites to manage the commissioning of Petrotech Turbomachinery Control Systems, overseeing on-site activities, troubleshooting technical issues with the machinery, ensuring proper operation of control systems, and providing exceptional customer service, all while maintaining detailed documentation and communicating effectively with both customer personnel and internal Petrotech teams.
Essential Duties:
· Travel to customer sites and manage activities related to the installation, pre-commission, and commissioning of Petrotech equipment.
· Control system logic expertise to troubleshoot units in the field and/or ensure that the control system is set up for proper operation of Petrotech equipment.
· Technical expertise in complex failure modes on rotating equipment for either mechanical, electrical, or process-related failure modes.
· Preparation of project documentation including Factory and Site Acceptance Test (FAT/SAT) Protocols, Operations Manuals, and Functional Design Specifications.
· Perform FATs/SATs to demonstrate to the customer the hardware and software compliance to the control system drawings/specifications.
· Development and Implementation of customer training programs.
· Interface effectively with other engineering functions, project management, procurement, sales/proposals, panel shop, and field personnel.
· Participate in project meetings and represent Petrotech in technical discussions with customers and vendors.
· Loop checks and startup assistance.
· Conduct work in accordance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
Successful Candidate:
- Experience with PLC programming.
- Previous experience with Rockwell, Allen Bradley, or Siemens control systems.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment/mechanical experience required.
- Knowledge of process control equipment, cause-and-effect diagrams, and reading P&ID drawings to troubleshoot issues in the field.
- Previous experience with international travel and field service trips.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate and act professionally.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently and have a high level of self-confidence.
- Ability to train and mentor junior FSEs.
- Strong ability to adapt on customer sites to manage customer expectations and availability of resources on site.
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
· 4-year college degree in Engineering or a technical field with 6+ years of field experience in industrial automation control systems.
· 2-year technical degree in a related field with 8 years of field experience in industrial automation control systems.
· Minimum 10 years experience with non-degree.
· Knowledge of rotating equipment/mechanical experience required.
· Experience with PLC and control logic.
· Up to 75% travel is required.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
