Insurance Defense Attorney | 3–7 Years' Experience
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Compensation: $120,000 – $180,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus
Firm: National Law Firm with Boutique Office Environment
Billable Requirement: 2,000 hours
A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its New York office. This position offers the resources and stability of a large firm combined with the close-knit, collaborative environment of a boutique office. The successful candidate will work alongside an established litigation team with a steady pipeline of complex insurance defense matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense litigation, including general liability, premises liability, property damage, and product liability matters
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
- Maintain regular communication with clients, insurance carriers, and co-counsel
- Collaborate with colleagues across the New York office and the firm’s national platform
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar
- 3–7 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on insurance defense
- Strong analytical, written, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage cases independently while contributing to a team environment
