Summary

Preschool of the Arts is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team! This position would be perfect for someone looking for fulfilling work a few hours a day. We are looking for someone willing to work with any age, but primarily toddlers and preschoolers.
Our part time afternoon teacher must be able to work 2:30-5:45, 4 or 5 days a week. Additional hours may be available upon request. If you have a passion for working with young children and creating a nurturing environment for their growth and development, we would love to hear from you!

Position: Assistant Teacher (Part-time)
Location: Tolland
Start Date: ASAP

Duties

• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities
• Provide support in diapering and/or potty training
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for toddlers
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of each child
• Maintain professionalism while interacting with children, parents, and colleagues
• Communicate professionally with parents
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
• Maintain personal professional development plan
• Clean and sanitize classroom as needed

• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting
• A strong understanding of child development
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
