Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of technology environments for both SMB and enterprise clients. This encompasses a diverse range of technologies including Windows, Hyper-V, VMware, Storage solutions, Active Directory, O365, and development support for systems and applications infrastructure. The candidate should be proficient in managing all phases of server and desktop processing/operating systems, capable of handling complex problems across multiple technology platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities/ Essential functions:
- Administering Windows servers and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory configurations.
- Supporting and managing all O365 related products.
- Designing and managing application interfaces and dependencies.
- Providing architectural design and support for various application platforms.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive platform network documentation.
- Offering tier 3 troubleshooting support as necessary.
- Implementing and configuring new servers, workstations, printers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, group policies, etc.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network infrastructure issues.
- Executing network security measures to safeguard client environments.
- Researching and evaluating new technologies to meet client IT requirements.
- Providing both remote and onsite support to clients.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Experience (5+ years):
- Advanced triage and troubleshooting capabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of network concepts
- Expertise in network administration, including layer 3 switching, firewalls, and wireless networks
- In-depth knowledge of network and application security
- Proficiency in Active Directory
- Extensive experience with Windows Servers
- Competence in VPN and remote connectivity
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID/AADDS, Active Directory Domain Services, Windows 11, Windows Server 2025+, DHCP, and DNS
- Availability to work nights and weekends as required for project completion or issue resolution
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with managing technology
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Professional and effective communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Possession of reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Background check required
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in service desk or technical support roles is required
- High level of diplomacy and strong interpersonal skills
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree; or a combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities perform required duties effectively
- Experience in network administration
- IT-related certifications are an advantage
