Our firm is looking for an applicant who can manage case files from start to finish and help clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. We need someone with excellent credentials, a real passion for helping people, and a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation and trial case experience. Compensation:
$120,000+
Responsibilities:
- Serve as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at hearings, mediations, trials, depositions, and litigation
- Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information
- Settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate and negotiate reasonable agreements
- Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
- Membership in the State Bar Association and a state license to practice law is mandatory
- A minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is necessary
- Knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vital
- Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills are preferred
- Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia
- Must have litigated personal injury cases in Virginia General District AND Circuit Courts
- Must have at least 3 to 5 years of Personal Injury Experience
