Job Description

PROMAN Staffing is supporting our international aftermarket manufacturing client to source and hire a highly motivated, organized, and results-driven Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) Manager to join their growing team.

This is a DIRECT HIRE Opportunity

This key role focuses on identifying and executing initiatives that reduce product cost while maintaining or improving function, performance, and quality. The position will lead cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement and enhance overall business profitability.

VAVE Manager Responsibilities

Cost Reduction & Value Optimization: Identify, prioritize, and implement projects that deliver measurable cost savings across existing products and processes.
Project Management: Oversee VAVE projects from concept to completion, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and finance teams to align strategies with company goals.
Supplier Engagement: Work with suppliers to identify alternative materials, components, and manufacturing methods for potential cost savings.
Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, providing technical direction and fostering a culture of innovation.
Reporting & Documentation: Track and report financial impact of initiatives, including cost savings, ROI, and process improvements.
Continuous Improvement: Promote lean principles and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) practices to enhance efficiency and product value.

VAVE Manager Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
Several years of experience in engineering, sourcing, or manufacturing with proven success in VAVE projects and cost-reduction initiatives.
Strong technical knowledge of product design, manufacturing processes, and cost analysis.
Proficiency with CAD software and other relevant engineering tools preferred.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities to engage stakeholders at all levels.
