Civil Litigation Attorney - Towson, MD or Bethesda, MD
A well-respected law firm in Towson is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with a book of business to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a variety of civil litigation matters and will be comfortable managing cases through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with exposure to diverse litigation matters.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Maryland Bar (D.C. or Virginia admission a plus)
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience
- Must have a transferable book of business
- Strong knowledge of Maryland civil procedure and court rules
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with attention to detail
- Trial experience preferred but not required
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, including commercial disputes, insurance defense, employment, and general liability cases
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
- Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery, and prepare witnesses
- Develop case strategies in collaboration with clients and colleagues
- Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
- Provide timely updates and legal advice to clients throughout case management
- Contribute to the firm's collaborative and team-oriented culture
