Position Summary:
Sunflower Wellness is seeking a hands-on, detail oriented, driven Biological Technician to assist the Senior Biologist with in vitro and preclinical biological studies for emerging compounds in the recreational and therapeutic market. This individual will assist in maintaining cell cultures, cytotoxic screenings, and cell based assays, contributing to the evaluation and validation of novel molecules. 
 
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Maintaining cell cultures (e.g., THLE-3, SW48, NPC, A549)</li>
<li>Conduct MTT cell viability assays</li>
<li>Assist with in vitro biological assays</li>
<li>Use a class II BSC, microplate reader, digital cell counter, CO2 incubator, micropipettes and basic microscopes for high-throughput work flows.</li>
<li>Follow SOPs and assist with mechanistic assays such as enzyme inhibition assays, quantitative bioassays, receptor binding assays, and general high throughput screening assays. </li>

Required Qualifications
