The Position

THE ROLE

<li>Responsible for performing minor as well as major maintenance on engines, compressors, dehydrators, vapor recovery units, flares, separators, slug catchers, air compressors, and cooling fans;</li>
<li>Work with craft personnel to ensure any equipment/system problems are resolved in a timely manner;</li>
<li>Responsible for reporting, troubleshooting, and correcting abnormal operating conditions;</li>
<li>Responsible for coordinating and monitoring activities of contract personnel assigned to the area;</li>
<li>Identify emergency situations and initiate Emergency Response Procedures;</li>
<li>Promote a safe work environment, implement current safety policies and ensure environmental policies and regulatory compliance are being met;</li>
<li>May be required at some locations to monitor meters and gauges to maintain correct temperature, pressure and flow of gas through system</li>
<li>Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements, perform required tasks, and complete associated documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)</li>
<li>Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions per PHMSA and/or FMSCA. Education &amp; Experience:

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Responsible for Raw Processor is to maintain steady workflow of raw processing lines by performing prescribed procedures accurately and timely.
 
SCHEDULE:
<ul>
<li>1st Shift </li>
<li>8 hours per day with possible daily overtime and during peak summer/fall production.</li>
</ul>

WAGE: Hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00 per hour, with a starting range of $19.00 per hour, also included is $1.00 per hour for 2nd/3rd shift differential. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May do any one of the following:
 
Defrost:
<ul>
<li>Unload trailers full of palletized meat using a pallet jack.</li>
<li>Remove frozen meat from boxes, bag and seal the individual bags of meat using the M-tec sealing machine and stack the bagged and sealed meat onto racks. </li>
<li>Remove fresh meat from boxes and stage the meat in tubs for slicing.</li>
<li>Load racks in to defrost tempering houses. </li>
<li>Set up and start the houses to begin the thaw process and continue to monitor the houses throughout the thawing process until the house is thawed and ready for slicing.</li>
<li>Responsible for unloading the houses and staging thawed meat for slicing.</li>
<li>Clean the racks and tempering houses with chemicals to meet SSOP and food safety standards.</li>
</ul>
Spice/Batching:
<ul>
<li>Prepare work area by assembling and setting up workstations.</li>
<li>Ensure that correct spices are used and properly recorded in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintain housekeeping standards and account for all inedible products.</li>
<li>Assist in the production of jerky/sausage by removing batches from tempering room to kitchen. Bring in the correct spices for product production and add spices following standard mixing procedures.</li>
<li>Stage meat to be used by removing meat from carton, making sure that all foreign material (cardboard, plastic, etc.) is removed and that all proper handling procedures are followed.</li>
<li>As directed, perform basic maintenance to equipment, maintain cleanliness of equipment and clean equipment as necessary.</li>
<li>Prepare meat samples for lab by drilling meat for fat analysis following standard A.M.I. drilling procedures and providing all necessary identification of sample (purchase order number, lot number, brand, etc.).</li>
</ul>
Continuous Line/Hanging/Screening:
<ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensure proper identification of product by recording weights of tubs/totes with proper batch number and ingredient ticket weights.</li>
<li>Responsible for monitoring manual and continuous line workstations to ensure that each station has adequate meat supplies to ensure production flow.</li>
<li>Load carts with meat filled tub and bring to workstations to supply meat as needed.</li>
<li>Track each tub that is dumped at the workstation to ensure that employee efficiencies are accurately recorded.</li>
<li>Responsible for performing job duties in compliance with all GMP's and following all company safety standards.</li>
<li>Assist with Raw Processor 1 functions when necessary.</li>
<li>Assist with the sanitation of the room at the end of shift or due to a certified start up during the shift. QUALIFICATIONS:</li>

<li>High School (minimum)</li>
<li>6 months manufacturing experience preferred. </li>
<li>Pallet Jack experience preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with HACCP (OJT).</li>
<li>Understanding and compliance with all GMPs (OJT)</li>
<li>Understanding and compliance with all personal safety rules (OJT)</li>
<li>Able to understand and follow instructions.</li>
<li>Ability to work with people to accomplish team goals.</li>

OPPORTUNITY

***HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE FRIDAY - SUNDAY ALTERNATING THURSDAYS 7PM-7:30AM. *Training will take place on 1st shift during the week for 2–4 months, but you’ll still receive the shift premium during that time.
Primary responsibilities include:
The following responsibilities for the Production Department are general in nature. Responsibilities will vary among employees based on the area of the plant they may be working. The Production Supervisor will assign any individual responsibilities that may be needed.
<ul>
<li>All containers are to be inspected inside and out prior to filling. (Read and follow ContainerInspection and filling S.O.P.)</li>
<li>All reactors are to be cleaned prior to manufacturing products. (Follow GMP SOP's for Recordkeeping and Manufacturing Equipment Cleaning and Inspection.)</li>
<li>Prescribed safety equipment must be used and worn while filling and mixing (see Production Worksheet and PPE Certifications).</li>
<li>Each employee is responsible for ensuring the product meets all quality standards before product leaves the production area (this includes filtering of liquid products.).</li>
<li>All Production Department employees are responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the production areas.</li>
<li>All tank trucks must be inspected prior to loading and unloading. (Read and follow Tank Truck Bulk Loading and Tank Truck Unloading SOP's).</li>
<li>All paperwork must be reviewed before loading or unloading. (Read and follow Tank TruckLoading, Tank Truck Unloading, and Railcar Unloading SOP's).</li>
<li>Production schedules and Batch Records are to be reviewed to ensure correct raw materials are used and order of addition is followed.</li>
<li>Perform tote cleaning per procedure and maintain records for product service, tote testing in the prism tote tracking system.</li>
<li>Perform weekly area (as designated by supervisor) inspections, complete filter log, and all other logs, complete and hand in inspection checklist at required time.</li>
<li>Review Catalyst weekly for training requirements and have all training and sop’s reviewed by the due date.</li>
<li>Attend all required training when scheduled unless absent from work.</li>

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

<li>Must be able to climb steps and ladders up to 40 feet high several times daily</li>
<li>Ability to wear a respirator for up to 4 hours a day without restrictions. Please refer to the SOP for facial hair guidelines.</li>
<li>Ability to meet DOT vision requirements.</li>
