<li>Provide in-person instruction for a variety of course types to teach the community safety, life-saving skills, and awareness level trainings with the following requirements:</li>
<li>Lecture in an energetic, clear, concise, confident way, adapting to the needs of your diverse audience and adjusting terminology to suit their education level.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Demonstrate excellent time management delivering curriculum requirements within the suggested curriculum agendas or lesson maps.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to adjust class activities for those with possible ADA related needs.&nbsp;</li>

&nbsp;&nbsp;Qualifications:&nbsp;

<li>Terminal degree in Health Science, Exercise Science or a related field</li>
<li>Extensive experience in higher education, plus a Master's degree in Health Science, Exercise Science or a related field</li>

<li>A minimum of three years of teaching in the field of Health and Wellness in a post-secondary setting</li>
<li>Experience with innovative teaching methodologies that focus on creating an engaging, student-centered learning environment</li>

<li>Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and practices that enhance student success at higher education institutions, including effective use of technology</li>

&nbsp;Position Information:
<ul>
<li>The pay range for this position is $45-$60 per hour for classroom teaching.</li>
<li>For administrative and tasks assigned or volunteered outside of classroom teaching hours will be paid at a standard hourly rate of $35.&nbsp;</li>

Essential Functions:

<li>Monitors play to oversee the safety of players and ensure&nbsp;the particular sport’s and YMCA rules are followed.</li>
<li>Ensures the gym(s) are ready for games with physical setting and equipment.</li>
<li>Sets up and tears down all equipment needed for play prior to start up time.</li>
<li>Communicates and enforces sports rules effectively while providing leadership during all games according to the YMCA policy.</li>
<li>Maintains cleanliness of the gym area.</li>
<li>Builds relationships with members and program participants.</li>
<li>Ensures safety by communicating and enforcing any rules, policies and guidelines at participants’ comprehension level.</li>
<li>Ensures safety by checking for hazardous conditions and making sure all safety equipment is properly placed and in proper working condition.</li>
<li>Follows all sports program rules, dress code, policies and guidelines.</li>
<li>Tracks and posts league standings.</li>
<li>Posts schedules and events promptly prior to the league or event date.</li>
<li>Ensures all sports program information is communicated in writing to the Program Director, Membership Director, and Front Desk Staff in an accurate and timely manner.</li>
<li>Creates new ways to promote sports through new corporate leagues, tournaments, camps, etc.</li>
<li>Creates an atmosphere that is based on fair play and incorporates it in a manner that is both demonstrative and professional.</li>
</ul>
 Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Must be at least 15 years of age.</li>
<li>High School diploma preferred.</li>
<li>Six months or more of related officiating experience preferred</li>
