The Early Childhood Training Specialist will be responsible to conduct Best Practice Trainings and Technical Assistance visits throughout the 22 counties of southeast Missouri. The use of a personal vehicle is required and will be reimbursed monthly. In addition, staff will provide short term, targeted support during technical assistance/modeling visits, customized by training topic to model the practical application of the topics covered during the trainings for child care providers in licensed and licensed exempt centers, family homes, group homes, and child care providers with six or fewer children that have a Child Care Provider Subsidy Agreement in the Southeast Region to strengthen high quality, responsive, and relationship-based child care.
 Required Qualifications An Associates Degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Social Work, or a closely related field, and have two years of professional experience working with children ages birth through five years; or Possess a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (infant/toddler, preschool, or family care) and have at least 3 years of professional experience working with children ages birth to five years.
Preferred Qualifications A Bachelors Degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Social Work, or a closely related field. Primary Responsibilities Ability to create and facilitate early childhood training topics to licensed and licensed exempt child care providers in the the service area. Caregiver Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>1 year or more of professional caregiving experience</li>
<li>Valid drivers license with your own reliable transportation and auto insurance </li>
<li>Willing to travel 30-35 minutes within the greater Lincolnton area </li>
<li>Available to work a variety of shifts</li>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Bilingual- Spanish and English a plus</li>
</ul>
Caregiver Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, meals, mobility, medication reminders, light housekeeping, food preparation.</li>
<li>Provide companionship and supervision</li>
<li>Provides emotional support </li>
<li>Ensure client safety and well-being.</li>
<li>Document and report any changes in clients health status. </li>
<li>Communicate with health care professionals and families regarding the clients emotional and medical condition.</li>
</ul>
Schedule:
<ul>
<li>We offer a variety of shifts for PRN and Part-Time Hours. Typical duration of each shift is 4-6 hours long between the hours of 7/8am to 6/7:30pm depending on client need.</li>
</ul>
Work Location: Lincolnton, NC and surrounding areas
