Job Description
New Day Personal Care Services is looking for Direct Service Professionals to join our team. The DSW is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.
The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times.
Responsibilities:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Home Assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands, or provide transportation if needed.&nbsp; Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications. Prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs.&nbsp; Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.</li>
<li>Assistance with ADLs and IADLS </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting an individual.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Requirements:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>High school diploma preferred.</li>
<li>GPS Enabled Phone or Device</li>
<li>Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time</li>
<li>Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time</li>

Pathways to Community (PTC) realizes our employee’s success leads to higher quality of care for our&nbsp;Individuals.  Join our high energy and collaborative team and truly make a difference every day!&nbsp; Lead Schedule: Every Friday 2:00pm- 10:00pm Sunday&nbsp; (32 hours per week) Compensation: $19.75 per hour In this role you will be making a difference by: 
<ul>
<li>Supporting individuals with daily needs including personal cares</li>
<li>Scheduling activities</li>
<li>Administering medications</li>
<li>Cooking and housework</li>
<li>Ensuring house safety</li>
<li>Provide constant supervision</li>
<li>Transportation to appointments and community events</li>
<li>Coaching and mentoring staff</li>
<li>Maintaining proper documentation and logs of all consumer-based activities, medications, and other items in compliance with PTC and other guidelines, policies, and regulations. </li>
</ul>
To be considered for this role you must: 
<ul>
<li>Carry a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and have daily access to a reliable vehicle</li>
<li>Hold an acceptable driving record</li>
<li>Possess strong English communication skills</li>
<li>Have the ability to cover shifts beyond you own as necessary</li>
<li>Be able to participate in water activities (pool, waterslides, hot tub, etc.)</li>
<li>Be able to pass a DHS and nationwide criminal background check</li>
<li>Have previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is required.</li>
