Job Description
As a Research Associate II, you will be responsible for conducting research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experiments to support various projects. You will exercise technical expertise in designing, executing, and interpreting experiments, contributing significantly to project strategies. Your role includes preparing technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses, and presenting findings to your department and project teams. You will maintain a high level of professional expertise through engagement with scientific literature and participation in conferences and professional societies. Adherence to company policies and procedures for GMP, GLP, and Design Control is essential, along with maintaining complete and accurate laboratory documentation and electronic files. You may also act as a principal investigator in your experiments.
Responsibilities
- Design experimental protocols with minimal supervision.
- Execute bench experiments, making detailed observations and analyzing data.
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses.
- Maintain complete and accurate records.
- Receive general directions on routine work and detailed directions on new assignments.
- Suggest improvements for work processes and laboratory environment.
- Assist in identifying and reducing to practice patentable inventions.
- Work on diverse problems, requiring analysis of identifiable factors.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Participate in cross-functional technical teams.
- Work productively in team environments, suggesting creative solutions to problems.
- Train others in areas of expertise.
- Troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present experimental procedures and results to teams.
- Ensure quality and continuously promote Quality First Time.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a science field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in a range of specialized laboratory techniques.
- Ability to search scientific literature for specific information.
- Skilled in using word processing, spreadsheets, graphical, and presentation software applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong collaboration and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of scientific principles, pathology, and development processes.
- Hands-on wet lab skills.
- Flexibility to adapt and move between tasks.

The position is based onsite at the Oro Valley site, known for its collaborative culture and supportive work environment. The site focuses on assay development, reagent production, and molecular diagnostics. Research Associates work in cross-functional teams with a mix of cutting-edge lab work and teamwork. This is a Contract position based out of Oro Valley, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
