Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Specialist (Hyperscale Data Center)
Job Description
Job Description
Sr. Electrical Engineer – Power Specialist (Hyperscale Data Center)
Austin, TX
We represent a privately held real estate investment and development group backed by a highly capitalized single-family office. The company owns, operates, and develops a national portfolio of mission-critical, life science, R&D, and hyperscale data center facilities. They are not a contractor or consultant—this is the owner/operator who builds, controls, and manages all major technical decisions in-house.
The firm currently has several major projects active in the Austin region, including a $450M redevelopment of a 1M sq. ft. campus with a planned 70MW+ electrical and power infrastructure program. Beyond Austin, they continue to expand nationally with new data center, power-intensive, and technology-driven developments already in planning.
This is a highly stable, well-funded organization with a long-term investment horizon, strong leadership, and a commitment to building best-in-class infrastructure. Their model is strategic, private, and patient—allowing engineers the ability to perform high-quality work without the bureaucracy of large corporate environments.
Why Engineers Find This Opportunity Unique:
- Direct role with the owner, not a GC or consulting firm
- Influence over electrical design direction and infrastructure strategy
- Oversight of major MW-scale power systems, redundancy, and campus-level distribution
- Support from an established Austin-based team and national development platform
- Significant long-term growth as the company expands into multiple regions
