The YMCA of the Seacoast is looking for part-time Lifeguards to join our fun, energetic, and mission-driven aquatics team. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain leadership experience, build their resume, and contribute to a safer, healthier community. Don’t have a certification yet? No problem – we offer training for qualified candidates!
Flexible shifts offered throughout the week.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool area to ensure a safe and positive environment for all swimmers
- Enforce all pool rules and safety procedures
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and perform water rescues as needed
- Complete safety checks and maintain accurate incident reports
- Arrive on time and in proper uniform for every scheduled shift
- Attend required staff trainings and in-service sessions
- Find and report shift coverage in case of absence
Qualifications:
- Willing to complete lifeguard certification (YMCA or Red Cross accepted)
- Preferred: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen
- Ability to stay alert and act calmly in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Must meet physical requirements of lifeguarding (swimming, endurance, etc.)
