Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and operation of CNC machinery
- Interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and other documents to determine setup and inspection requirements.
- Selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures and cutting tools on machines.
- Loading and securing raw material on the machine.
- Retrieving current revision CNC machine control programs and downloading them to the machine.
- Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusting machine controls as required.
- Unloading finished parts and performing necessary deburring and quality checks.
- Verifying conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using manual tools or CMM/DCC-CMM equipment and entering data into quality documentation.
