QUALITY INSPECTOR

Job Duties:

• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet all customer specifications and drawing requirements.
• Review engineering job packets, including drawings and cut sheets, after completion by the engineering team.
• Release jobs to the shop floor once all documentation and inspections are verified.
• Act as a key liaison for engineering and the shop floor:
  • Discuss failed inspections with appropriate teams.
  • Communicate updates or discrepancies found.
  • Return jobs to the engineering team for revision when documentation does not meet standards.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Proficient in Adobe PDF (editing, reviewing, and annotating documents)
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and 3D models
• Solid understanding of manufacturing tolerances and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Skilled in using precision measurement tools: micrometers, calipers, height gages
• Competent in AutoCAD for reviewing and interpreting technical drawings

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Keyence XM-5000 Inspection Device (or similar 3D measurement systems)

Training will be provided for Keyence XM-5000 if the candidate does not have prior experience
