Job DescriptionImmediately hiring a highly organized and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to oversee multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously. This role requires a proactive leader with strong project coordination skills, a deep understanding of HVAC systems and architectural sheet metal, and a proven ability to manage crews across various job sites. The Sheet Metal Foreman ensures projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
Pay is up to $35/hr. depending on experience Shift is Mon-Fri 6:30am-3pm (overtime as needed)
Sheet Metal Foreman duties:
- Manage and coordinate multiple active commercial sheet metal projects across different locations.
- Supervise and support job site crew leaders and sheet metal workers on each project.
- Review project blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to plan and allocate labor and materials effectively.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones and proactively addressing delays or issues.
- Conduct site visits regularly to assess progress, ensure quality control, and resolve operational issues.
- Act as the liaison between field crews and project managers to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Monitor manpower needs and make staffing adjustments based on workload and deadlines.
- Ensure each job site meets or exceeds safety compliance and company standards.
- Assist with material procurement, tool logistics, and coordination with suppliers and vendors.
- Provide technical support and training to field crews as needed.
- Prepare and submit daily or weekly progress reports and labor tracking.
- Hands on approach with ability to jump on tools to assist as needed on projects
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial sheet metal installation, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and crews simultaneously.
- Proficient in reading mechanical plans and shop drawings.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork fabrication/installation, and architectural sheet metal components.
- Strong understanding of mechanical codes, construction safety standards, and project scheduling.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to drive company vehicle between project sites.
