Job Description
We are seeking a talented Dairy Flavorist for a first shift position. The Flavorist will be responsible for creating, revising, and optimizing flavors for dairy and non-dairy applications. This role involves collaboration with both internal and external customers to develop innovative flavor solutions for their products.
Responsibilities
- Create, revise, and optimize flavors for dairy and non-dairy applications.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Application Scientists to create customized presentations for key/target clients.
- Maintain excellent customer relations with support from Sales, Marketing, and Applications teams.
- Manage complex projects while maintaining multiple priorities and timelines.
- Perform analytical testing for flavor and ingredient formulation.
- Ensure professional development to stay current with new flavor development and flavor processing techniques.
- Taste all foods and translate flavors into sensory lexicon.
Essential Skills
- Experience in research and development.
- Analytical chemistry skills, including HPLC.
- Proficiency in flavor creation and flavorist techniques.
- Dairy experience.
- Background in food science and new product development.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Flavorist Certification.
- BS in Food Science with 5 years of experience preferred.
- Open to candidates with less experience but preference for senior candidates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with quality inspections, lab testing, and aseptic techniques.
Work Environment
The position offers a stable work schedule with weekends being extremely rare. Overtime is typically during the week and limited to 1 or 2 hours at the most, ensuring a balanced work-life environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
This is a direct placement opportunity. benefits will be provided by client upon start or on consultants request.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Saukville,WI.
