Your Role:

Interacts with senior/active aging members and program participants to deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable equipment orientations, group fitness classes & one-on-one consultations in accordance with the objectives and policies set forth by Elevation Health. Provides excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction, and high energy motivation to members and participants in order to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide group equipment orientations

• Teach group fitness classes - 6 hours per week included in hours

• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with residents, be the face of the fitness center by delivering excellent customer service

• Sub/cover group fitness classes as needed

• Payroll for instructors/trainers/contractors

• Personal training, off the clock (fee based serviced paid for by the residents through the Elevation Health Platform)

• Provide individual fitness assessments

• Consult with members on their fitness baseline and follow up as needed

• Monitor residents in fitness center and provide assistance on technique and workouts as needed

• Monthly reporting & statistics

• Manage Elevation Health Platform

• Programming and marketing materials to keep residents engaged and staying active

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and follow all rules, regulations and security emergency protocol provided by Atria

• Perform other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

• Certifications:

  • CPR/AED Certification - required

  • Nationally recognized personal training certification - required

  • Group fitness certification - preferred

  • ACE Senior Specialist certification - plus

  • Other specialty certifications - a plus

• Experience:

  • Group fitness experience for the senior demographic - required

  • Virtual teaching experience (Zoom) - preferred

• Skills:

  • Ability to create and modify exercise programs to meet the needs of the residents

  • Must be professional, motivational, and show excellent customer service
