Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment in alignment with operational requirements. This role supports maintenance operations within the Maintenance Base (MB), enhances asset reliability, improves maintenance efficiency, and contributes to overall productivity across the Product Line.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on assigned equipment according to the maintenance program and reliability-centered maintenance strategy.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and follow standard work procedures for all maintenance-related tasks.
- Maintain strict transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) systems by accurately recording labor hours, materials used, maintenance history, work orders, and equipment movements.
- Ensure full compliance with TLM Product Line standards.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset utilization and reduce the Cost of Service Delivery (CoSD).
- Contribute to reducing equipment downtime related to maintenance, part delays, repair authorizations, and overall turnaround time.
- Assist in improving Maintenance Base productivity and efficiency of Maintenance Technicians.
- Support CoSD improvement projects such as part repair, refurbishment, and reuse programs.
- Participate in failure investigations and root cause analyses as assigned.
- Comply with the TLM Competency Management System and maintain required certifications and skill levels.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CMMS, TLM, or similar maintenance tracking systems.
- Ability to work long hours in a rotational shift environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
