Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday
Pay: $19.45/hr
Job Summary
The General Assembler is responsible for assembling components and subassemblies used in the production of environmental test chambers. This role involves mechanical and electrical assembly, reading work instructions, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components following blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to ensure accurate assembly.
- Inspect components and completed assemblies for quality and functionality.
- Perform wiring, mounting, fitting, and fastener installation as needed for chamber assembly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with company 5S and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, team leads, and other production staff to meet daily production goals.
- Report defects, shortages, or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
