Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision metal parts and components. The ideal candidate will have experience with setup, programming, and operation of CNC equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.) according to engineering specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files
- Perform machine adjustments and tool changes as needed
- Monitor machine operations and inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance
- Document production data and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize processes
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
- Exposure to noise, dust, and machine operation environments
