UrbanBuilt, a Mid-Atlantic General Contracting company headquartered in the Baltimore metro area, is looking to recruit a new Project Manager. As a general contracting company, we specialize in residential and commercial renovations and new construction. Position Summary: To successfully plan, staff, implement, control and evaluate residential and commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Subcontractor and Vendor Buyout
- Preparing and updating Project Schedules
- Preparation and tracking of submittals
- Attend and lead project progress meetings
- Prepare and disseminate weekly project progress reports
- Work with clients on production progress, open issues, change orders, and materials selections
- Preparation and tracking of Change Orders (Client and Subcontract)
- Assist in oversight of company Safety Program
- Assist in oversight of project quality control
- Maintain control and oversight of project budgets
Position Skills/Qualification Requirements:
- A minimum of an Associate’s Degree preferably in construction management or a business concentration.
- Must have 5-7 years experience in construction project supervision and/or management for commercial and residential projects above $250,000 in value.
- Must be able to manage a team, work well with others, and adhere to management directives.
- Strong skills in organizing, planning, and implementing project controls to meet strict deadlines.
- Must have strong communication skills including speaking and writing professionally.
- Must have strong computer skills and able to use all programs in Microsoft Office.
