Blending 1st Shift Coordinator

Job DescriptionPosition Description: Job Purpose:The Blending Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safety and production goals of the Blending Department are achieved. This role is responsible for Coordinating the members of the team to ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained. This includes training, reporting, proper and timely paperwork completion.Key Responsibilities:?\tEnsure all processes are followed correctly. Make sure the blending procedures are being followed by all team members with accurate and legible information being recorded in the Batch records/Logbooks.
?\tEquipment such as Blenders, Granulators, Mills, Forklifts, Vacumax are functioning properly and being utilized properly by all team members.
?\tSchedule and assign tasks: Assign blending tasks to operators and ensure they are completed on time and to specification.
?\tMonitor blending processes: Track blending processes in real time, identify any deviations, and take corrective action if necessary.
?\tConduct quality checks: Perform or oversee quality checks on blended materials to ensure they meet predetermined specifications.
?\tMaintain production records; Document all blending activities, including batch records, logbooks, and any other manufacturing logs.
?\tSupport continuous improvement initiatives: Identify opportunities to improve blending efficiency, quality, and yield.
?\tCreate accurate shift reports including all activities and send it to the Supervisor before the end of the shift.
?\tWalk the blending floor once every 30 mins throughout the entire shift.
?\tMaintain cleanliness: Ensure all rooms and equipment are clean and organized at the end of each shift.
?\tShow a desire and willingness to learn and succeed.
?\tComplete all required training activities.
?\tDemonstrates commitment to the organization by maintaining regular, on-site attendance, is reliable and follows through on responsibilities.
?\tOther duties as assigned.
Specialized Knowledge:?\tKnowledge of the manufacturing process for nutraceuticals.
?\tMechanical knowledge of the working of the various machines utilized in the blending process.
?\tBasic computer skills
Requirements:?\tHigh school Diploma
?\tPrevious experience working in a Blending department.
?\tPrevious manufacturing experience.
?\tBilingual: Must speak, read, and write English and Spanish.
Safety Awareness:?\tPromote a safe work environment: ensure all safety protocols are followed, identify, and address potential safety hazards and investigate and report any accidents or near misses immediately to the Supervisor or EH&S Manager.
?\tFollow OSHA Manufacturing Safety Awareness and precautions.
?\tComprehends and adheres to all pertinent Health and Safety Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
?\tRequired to use all approved and issued Personal Protective Equipment as directed by policy and procedure.
?\tEnsure all GMP guidelines are adhered to, wear PPE, follow biohazard safety standards.
$25.00 - $27.00 Hourly
