About the Opportunity:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for extracting data from customer documents such as purchase orders, drawings, and specifications. This role drafts travelers and identifies quality requirements and determines the production process of the circuit board.
What You'll Do:
- Reviews drawings to extract customers' specifications for the manufacturing process; also analyzes customer data to develop and recommend solutions for manufacturability
- Evaluates purchase orders and contract review to extract customer-specific flow-down requirements
- Reviews sales orders to extract any instructions contained within and/or customer profile notes
- Creates work instructions for CAM and Tooling Engineers
- Enters process instructions into ProCIM to create the traveler instructions
- Generates stack-ups in excel depicting material usage and layering illustrations
- Identifies ProCIM manufacturing travelers for release
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 Years of industry experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of rigid flex circuits
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of the PCB industry and processes
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints, GERBER Data, CAM files, etc.
- Must be able to interface with customers regarding engineering issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certificate or associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field
- Proficient in Valor Genesis
California Pay Range$25—$32 USD
The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
