CAD Drafter/Designer - Plant/Industrial

Job Description

Job Description*Creates sketches and final CAD drawings for engineering projects, collaborating with the project engineering team to ensure best practices and compliance with applicable construction and regulatory requirements.
*Creates and revise FEED drawings, including preliminary layouts, elevation, and plan views ensuring architectural conformity and site aesthetics.
*Conducts frequent field audits to check dimensions of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
*Utilizes knowledge of process equipment, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
*Draft detailed multi-view drawings of the process (Isometrics).
*Evaluates constructability in developing layouts to aid in the project bidding, project execution, and is nimble in recommending alternatives when obstacles to execution are encountered
*Routinely interfaces with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to execute against assembled drawing packages.
*Exhibits strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications.
*Updates drafting and engineering standards
*Perform other related duties, as assigned.

*Associate"s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
*Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Minimum of 3 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing, plant, or similar environment.
*Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
*Proficiency in Revit (optional).
*Strong analytical and visualization skills.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
*Advanced 2D and 3D drafting skills, including the ability to create detailed technical drawings and complex models - PLANT 3D Highly Preferred
*Excellent communication skills.
*Strong interpersonal skills.
*Highly organized.
*Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
*Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
*Must be able to pass a 10 panel controlled substance testing and random testing after that.
*Must be able to pass a background investigation check and maintain in good standing order, as per TSA"s TWIC criteria.
