Our client is a leader in innovation and sustainability, creating chemical solutions and technologies for consumer products, construction, and electronics. They are seeking a dedicated Analytical Chemist to join their growing laboratory team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$33/hr - $37/hr based on experience
Position Overview:
The Analytical Chemist will perform analytical testing, method development, and data interpretation to support research and production activities. This position is ideal for someone with previous lab experience, preferably in an analytical laboratory, who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of the Analytical Chemist:
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on analytical equipment (e.g., GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM/EDS, FTIR).
- Maintain and update analytical methods and procedures.
- Prepare accurate and detailed customer reports.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Manage and update digital tools such as Microsoft programs, LIMS, and statistical analysis software.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams through reports and presentations.
- Work efficiently and collaboratively on major project teams.
Required Experience/Skills for the Analytical Chemist:
- Strong wet chemistry skills, including titration, filtration, dilution, extraction, and gravimetric determinations.
- Previous laboratory experience.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments like GC, ICP, FTIR, and SEM.
- Proficiency with pH and specific ion electrode meters.
- Strong chemical, math, and computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Analytical Chemist:
- Familiarity with Microsoft, LIMS, and statistical analysis programs.
- Prior experience as an Analytical Chemist in a laboratory or manufacturing setting.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science is highly preferred.
