AdeptHR is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machine Specialist & Packaging Engineer to join our growing manufacturing team in Southgate, CA. This hybrid role blends advanced CNC machining, toolmaking, and precision programming with hands-on packaging engineering responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings a detail-oriented mindset, deep technical experience, and a passion for improving manufacturing workflows from raw material to finished product.
You will play a key role in programming, machining, designing tooling, enhancing packaging, and supporting continuous improvement projects—making this a uniquely impactful, career-defining role.
ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming & Machining
- Program and operate Wire and Sinker EDM machines, including complex 4-axis machining
- Develop CNC programs using MasterCam for precision tooling parts and multi-material assemblies
- Machine diverse materials including aluminum, stainless steel, urethane, and wood
Tooling & Fixture Design
- Design and build custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures that improve efficiency and production quality
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to reduce setup times and streamline workflows
Packaging Engineering
- Develop and enhance packaging designs that are durable, functional, and cost-effective
- Work cross-functionally to ensure packaging meets quality, performance, and compliance requirements
Quality & Compliance
- Conduct first article inspections and apply SPC and precision measurement techniques
- Use micrometers, calipers, pin gages, and comparators
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure components meet strict tolerance requirements
- Support ISO-compliant quality documentation and processes
Requirements
- Hands-on CNC machining experience, including Wire/Sinker EDM and MasterCam programming
- Experience with 4-axis machining
- Background in packaging design or packaging engineering
- Ability to design and fabricate tooling, jigs, and fixtures
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, SPC, and ISO quality systems
- Proficiency working with multiple materials (metals, urethanes, woods, composites)
- Detail-oriented, innovative, and collaborative approach
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
