Position Summary:

Operate saw to cut billets to specifications for production line.

Essential Functions:

• Receive orders for cut blanks to determine quantity and sizes of billets to saw.
• Following safety guidelines, operate saw to cut material blanks.
• Accurately identify, measure and log information of each billet.
• Operate forklift to store cooled billets in designated locations.
• Deliver blanks to production line.
• Provide backup to other production team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• One year of manufacturing or related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic math skills including simple measurements, addition, subtraction, and division.
• Ability to calculate circumference from diameter.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate a clamp forklift required.

Physical Conditions:

• This position will require constant standing to operate saw and lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures in production facility.
• Overtime may be required on occasion.
