Position Summary:
Operate saw to cut billets to specifications for production line.
Essential Functions:
- Receive orders for cut blanks to determine quantity and sizes of billets to saw.
- Following safety guidelines, operate saw to cut material blanks.
- Accurately identify, measure and log information of each billet.
- Operate forklift to store cooled billets in designated locations.
- Deliver blanks to production line.
- Provide backup to other production team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- One year of manufacturing or related experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic math skills including simple measurements, addition, subtraction, and division.
- Ability to calculate circumference from diameter.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate a clamp forklift required.
Physical Conditions:
- This position will require constant standing to operate saw and lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures in production facility.
- Overtime may be required on occasion.
