GTI Fabrication is a leading manufacturer specializing in custom modular structures, shipping container-based buildings, and ballistic metal fabrication. We serve multiple industries, including DOD contractors, military, disaster relief, and commercial sectors. Our advanced containerized and modular solutions are all built in-house at our Buffalo, NY facility.

Our manufacturing capabilities include military training enclosures, live fire enclosures, modular bathroom and shower units, expeditionary camps, medical facilities, water treatment systems, energy storage enclosures, and more.

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Coater / Powder Coater to join our team! If you have experience in industrial painting, powder coating, abrasive blasting, or metal finishing, we encourage you to apply.

Job ResponsibilitiesApplication of Powder & Wet Coatings:

• Applying powder coatings using manual powder coating units.
• Properly measuring and mixing liquid coating systems.
• Applying zinc primers, epoxies, and polyurethane top coat using airless, air-assisted, and conventional spray equipment.

Equipment & Process Management:Properly loading & hanging parts for coating process

• Setting up proper powder coating oven temperatures and batch curing settings.
• Maintaining and operating paint spray guns, powder equipment & booths, and other finishing tools.
• Moving materials through the production process manually or with forklifts.

Job Requirements

✔ 1+ years of experience in Powder Coating or Industrial Coatings.
✔ Knowledge of abrasive blast cleaning and surface preparation.
✔ Familiarity with powder coating application in batch-style booths and ovens.
✔ Experience mixing and applying two-component primers, epoxies, and topcoats.
✔ Ability to use airless, air-assisted, and conventional spray systems.

Preferred Qualifications

✔ 3+ years of experience in Powder Coating or Industrial Painting.
✔ Strong understanding of metal surface cleaning and preparation using hand tools, power tools, and abrasive blasting.
✔ Experience with powder coating process optimization and equipment maintenance.
✔ Ability to interpret and follow Product Data Sheets (PDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
✔ Proficiency in coating thickness measurement and documentation.
