What You'll Be Doing
- Provide mechanical engineering services for multi-discipline building design projects across commercial, institutional, and government sectors.
- Execute all phases of mechanical design from concept through construction documents under guidance of senior engineers.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure code compliance and accuracy.
- Select and lay out mechanical systems, exploring alternative approaches as needed.
- Conduct code analyses and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Participate in client meetings to define project scope and validate design needs.
- Supervise and guide support staff on technical tasks and problem-solving.
- Provide construction-phase engineering support, including field visits and RFI responses.
- Assist with bidding processes by preparing addenda, reviewing submissions, and supporting bid evaluations.
- Adhere to quality control procedures, project budgets, and schedules.
What You'll Bring to the Job
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for institutional, industrial, or commercial environments.
- EIT certification (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Working knowledge of building systems, codes, and Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active or obtainable security clearance.
