Job DescriptionDescription:

The Flexo Press Operator is responsible for operating a flexographic label printing presses to produce high-quality custom and in-stock labels. This role requires prior experience with label printing presses and demands a keen eye for detail, precision in execution, and a commitment to maintaining quality control throughout the production process. Press Operators collaborate closely with the management to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain production schedules, and uphold company safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Label Production: Operate flexographic presses to fulfill both custom print orders from customers.


Quality Control: Continuously inspect labels during printing and rolling to identify defects, ensuring all products meet company and customer standards.


Machine Maintenance & Reporting: Work closely with the management to report on any necessary machine repairs, adjustments, or maintenance needs.


Material Management: Communicate raw stock and printing material needs to management to prevent production delays.


Order Coordination: Collaborate with management to receive daily production lists and prioritize print jobs accordingly.


Safety Compliance: Adhere to company safety procedures, use required PPE, and report safety concerns to management.


Workflow Efficiency: Ensure that completed print jobs are properly staged for Post Press specialists to continue the fulfillment process.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience operating label printing presses (flexographic press experience preferred). Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset.
  • Ability to follow daily production schedules and meet deadlines efficiently. Effective communication skills for collaboration with plant and warehouse teams. Proactive problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot minor press issues.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all company protocols.
