Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Neuro Rehabilitation and be committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals through therapeutic interventions. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including those in outpatient settings, home health, residential, and geriatrics, to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop effective treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and home care strategies.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition from clinical settings to home or other care environments.
- Stay current with best practices in occupational health, early intervention strategies, and case management.
- Therapeutic sessions vary from inpatient, outpatient, or home and community environments.
Requirements
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience with Neuro Rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of various therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy.
- Experience in outpatient settings, home health, geriatrics, or early intervention is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple cases while providing high-quality patient care.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in practice.
