Responsibilities
- Get assigned work from racks or supervisor.
- Clock in and out of jobs.
- Lay out each job neatly.
- Ability to read and use prints or manuals to verify build.
- Assemble job quickly & correctly.
- Maintain vigilance to identify and prevent potential errors before they occur.
- Examine parts and make sure they conform with specifications and have no defects; report any issues.
- Bring completed work to the supervisor and ask him/her to test and verify it meets our standards and passes through inspection.
- Understand which hand tools, and special tooling, do what and use them appropriately.
- Able to build most products with sub-assembly low levels (1’s , 3’s and some 4’s).
- Have a general knowledge of lubricants & Loctite usage, as well as seal and O-Ring usage.
- Have a basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Collaborate closely with the entire assembly department to address challenges and optimize processes, assisting others as needed.
- Once completed work has been approved: clean, bag, and tag.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by your supervisor (i.e., material handling)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by performing general housekeeping duties as needed.
- Perform duties and tasks while following all safety protocols.
- Work and communicate efficiently with all co-workers to address challenges and optimize processes.
