Phlebotomist in Miami, Florida
Now Hiring: Phlebotomist I – Miami, FL (Full-Time, Onsite)
Location: 10920 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33161
Contract - 3+months
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM; every other Saturday 6:30 AM–11:00 AM
Pay Rate: $17.75 - $19.75/hr
Join one of the most respected names in diagnostics! We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist I to provide excellent patient care and accurate specimen collection at our Miami Patient Service Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood specimens from patients of all ages – pediatrics through geriatrics
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collections following established protocols
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and transport to the laboratory
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment
- Accurately maintain required records and documentation
- Work under the direction of the area supervisor to complete daily tasks efficiently
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and coworkers
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred
- Proven ability to perform phlebotomy on pediatric and geriatric patients
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent phlebotomy skills including venipuncture and capillary collection
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)
- Keyboard/data entry skills required
- Reliable transportation required (bus, Uber, rideshare not acceptable)
- Must be punctual and able to stand for extended periods
Additional Details:
Candidates must live within a 20-25 minute commute to the worksite to ensure reliable attendance. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.
